Application scope

The normal operating condition

1. The altitude should less than 2000m

2. Ambient temperature: normal range: - 5~+40˚C. Extension range: - 40~+70˚C

3. Relative humidity: room condition: 30%~90%.

4. No obvious shock and impulse vibration

5. No dangerous explosion medium, and there¡¯s no gas and dust which can make metal rust and destroy the insulation ( including electric dust)

Usage

Voltage limiting type SPD combined with voltage switching type SPD is formed the Group SPD, which is suiting to A.C 50/60 Hz , 380V and under 380V voltage's electric power system and protects all the distribution systems shocked by the thunder or surge over voltage.

Using the combination SPD between phase line and earth line in the distribution system, which not only eliminates the power-frequency continuous current, but also over comes the leakage tripping which results from the bad performance of MOV. So SPD is suitable to all the distribution system which is with the protection of surplus current. Since the voltage switching SPD is connected between zero line and earth line, at the same time with its much higher maximum continuous operating voltage and enough impulse current capacity, it will have its peculiar superiority when used in TT system.

Remote signaling contact

SPD can be connected with remote signaling contact, which is a normal close contact ( the end with H) or normal open contact ( the end with K). If one or more of modular of the protector is in malfuction, the contact will be closed, and sending the malfunction signal.The rated value of remote signaling contact is 125V~1A.

Main structure and operating principal

The protective way of "3+1"is that three phase line (L) to the zero line (N) functioning as an equi-potential connection by the voltage limiting type SPD , and at the same time the zero line (N) to the earth line (PE) functioning as an equi-potential connection by the voltage switching type SPD(N-PE) (figure 1).

Installation

1. It adopts 35 mm DIN rail

2. It is linked by 2.5 -- 35 mm2 copper wire. If it's the TT system, pls refer to the Fig 2. As for the choice and treatment of lead, refer to the Table 2

3. The earth cable should choose the double color wire which is over 4 mm2 but not longer than 500 mm .

4. In order to guarantee electrical network's normal operating after protective device losing efficiency , the protective device which linked to L must be connected a 32A fuse.
