A distribution box can also be known as a distribution/panel board or a breaker or a DB Box. It is an element of an electricity supply system, which will separate an electrical power feed into secondary circuits, whilst providing a protective fuse for each circuit in a regular enclosure. A distribution board is a sheet metal fabricated enclosure that can be open, semi-closed or totally enclosed; designed to provide and control electric power to distribution systems.

1. Ambient temperature Average value over 24 hours + 35 °C; Maximum value + 40 °C; Minimum value - 5 °C
2. Relative humidity 50% at 40° C; short-time 100% at 25° C
3. Class II insulated cabinet. Fire protection in the event of internal faults (Demands placed on electrical devices from standards and laws)
Minimum requirements
- Glow wire test in accordance with IEC 60695-2-11:
- 650°C for boxes and cable glands
- 850°C for parts of insulating material necessary to retain current
carrying parts in position
4. UV resistant (according to ISO 4892-2) Self-extinguishing: 650°C (cabinets supplied without terminal blocks)/750°C (cabinets supplied with terminal blocks)

9. There is a number of protection devices, such as DC Circuit Breaker, reverse charging-proof diode and lightning surge protector, etc. It has also the function to measure the current of a single input loop and bus voltage
